When their parents can afford to spare them from the farms, a few “lucky” children are sent to study.

Dawlish approaches the Unfurling Scroll, but finds it closed, and dark. He frowns and ponders for a time. Eventually, he dotters away, realizing he can go no further this night, but resolute in his plans to visit again.

[Dawlish]

Dawlish returns the next morning, just as the sun is rising. He watches the sunrise with the Palorites, feeling its warmth break the cold chill of night, and seeing it's rays chase the mists away.
He meanders absently, strolling slowly about the waking town, always within eyeshot of the front door of the Unfurled Scroll, waiting for it to open.

An old bearded man in robes with a wicked dragon headed cane approaches and walks past Dawlish. Mumbles at the door which unlocks and opens.

[Dawlish]

Dawlish loiters for about 10 minutes, giving the shop owner time to properly open, before entering the shop.

[Alex]

You enter the building into a mudroom with a dozen cubbies and a dozen coat pegs.

This room opens into a larger room with little desks and wall attached counters.
There is a large table toward the front and a large desk to the side, both with vials and flasks and beakers.

The walls are lined with books and there are two doors in the back left of the room.

[Dawlish]

"Hello?"

[Alex]

"Cough...Hel...Cough...hello?! What do you want stranger?"

[Dawlish]

"I was hoping you could give me some information. About a local cult."

[Alex]

Laughs and then coughs.

"What local cult? I do not know of any."

[Dawlish]

"Oh, well of course not. Perhaps you can tell me what you do know?"
Dawlish produces 10 gold, and dangles it before the man.

[Alex]

"Know about what young man? a local cult that does not exist? For that price you can make use of the library here to research what u want as long as you do not disturb the classes."

[Dawlish]

"I see. Than you wouldn't mind in the least if I were to Detect Evil right now?"

[Alex]

Shoots Dawlish a cold look.

"Nay, I would not mind as your suggestion is insulting enough, but I am curious on the source of your divine power?"

[Dawlish]

"Insulting? I would think you would be pleased to prove that you're not a Necromancer."
He eyes the shopkeeper curiously.
"Or are you sympathetic to the plight of the cultist? We shall see, when I return with a Paladin."
Dawlish sweeps out of the shop, and returns with purpose to the Lorrimor estate.
